Sorry, it's looking like you won't be able to play GTA VI on Xbox Game Pass when it first drops. It's a big bummer, especially considering how much Game Pass is killing it! But hey, it is what it is!
The bigwigs over at Take-Two Interactive, the studio behind GTA VI, confirmed that GTA VI is a full-price release at launch. It won’t be part of those subscription services just yet - bummer. You could always try the GTA+ subscription service, which could potentially offer some features in the future for GTA 6! But if you want to play on Day One - you've got to pay that full price, just like we've been doing with all the past games, even the classic Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
There isn't any official pricing yet - we don't even have a confirmed release date for it! But if you are super familiar with the Grand Theft Auto series, they are super known for charging full price for their games. It’s pretty much standard - but they are one of the biggest game developers out there. We've already gotten that amazing gameplay trailer and a possible date that is rumored to be fall 2025. We can expect it to be one of the biggest releases. That’s what fans are all hoping for!
The CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick - is hinting that Grand Theft Auto VI release date is around the fall of 2025. The latest is GTA VI on the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5, but there isn't any word on the PC version. Rockstar loves delaying those PC versions so who knows, maybe we’ll have to wait just a bit longer for that!
We've all got those fingers crossed that we can play this massive release soon enough! Even though we know we have to pay that full price! It's super hype to see how the new characters, storyline, and the next-level graphics shape up!
