Nexon's The First Descendant has just dropped its first season, Season One: Invasion, bringing a bunch of new content, including new dungeons and an awesome questline!
This new season is all about tackling these new Invasion dungeons, which are tough but offer some great rewards, like unlocking the new Hailey character, and even getting components for the Chill Descendant.
But before you jump in, you need to complete the main campaign first. Yeah, you have to beat the entire thing! Once you do, a new quest, "Mysterious Phenomena," will pop up. You have to talk to Nell in Albion to start things off.
This quest breaks down into two parts:
You can totally go solo on these, but if you’re struggling, jump into public matchmaking and team up. Make sure you have the best weapons and build you can for your character, otherwise it’s gonna be a rough time! After you complete these two subquests, you'll be off to see Anais.
Time to craft the Inversion Reinforcement Device (IRD). It's like a supercharged artifact and you'll get some sweet perks as you earn Ironheart Particles. You’ll also earn experience as well, so upgrading your IRD makes these parts more worthwhile. Plus, these new perks make a massive difference, and that new gear and boosts will give you an even bigger edge!
Now for the main event – rescuing Hailey! You'll do this in your first Invasion dungeon, the Quarantine Zone, in the Fortress region. Get ready for some serious challenges here!
First puzzle - it’s a platform puzzle with Vulgus trying to stop you. You gotta match colors. Find three platforms (pink, white, and red) and hit them to solve the puzzle, but don't let the Vulgus screw you over! Quick reflexes will come in handy as they will try to take your platforms.
The boss? Inversion Infused Ledras. You’ve got to hit those platforms to match their shield colors to break the shield first, before unleashing everything and finishing the fight. Ajax and Gley are awesome Descendants to bring if you're wanting extra protection against heavy attacks!
Once Hailey is safe, the Invasion dungeons are all yours! They’re Hard difficulty and just like Quarantine Zone, you gotta solve a puzzle and beat a boss, but this time you've got to do it alone!
Look for the red markers on your map to find those Invasion dungeons, four per day, up to a total of ten in order to make real progress in the season. So go in prepared. Use Hailey or whatever other build will do best and give it everything you have.
