Stardew Valley's Mr. Qi Calls Out Stardrop Cheaters: Hilarious Dialogue Discovered

Mr. Qi Calls Out Stardew Valley Players for Cheating

Ever heard of the item code trick in Stardew Valley? It lets you farm some of the rarest items in the game by changing your farmer's name to a combination of item codes. But one character, Mr. Qi, isn't too happy about it!

One Reddit user, Cinnabun_Sugar69420, discovered a hilarious hidden dialogue from Mr. Qi that calls out this cheat. After changing their name to the codes for Stardrops (434) and prismatic shards (74), Mr. Qi gave them a piece of his mind. "Easy stardrops, huh? I'm disappointed, kid. I thought you wanted to beat this game fair and square?"

It seems that this dialogue only triggers if you use the Shrine of Illusion in the Wizard's basement to change your name. Starting the game with a code-based name doesn't seem to do the trick. But hey, Mr. Qi isn't known for being forgiving.

This isn't the first time Mr. Qi has cracked down on shortcuts. He's known to scold players for using too many staircases in Skull Cavern, even though he still gives them the snake milk reward. And if you use any Cheats to reach the summit before achieving perfection, he'll greet you with a creepy cutscene, accusing you of "me me me me me" behavior!

Mr. Qi is the only character in the game that consistently breaks the fourth wall, and he often does it to call out players who try to take the easy way out. It seems he really values hard work and fair play, even if his methods are a bit...intense.

What do you think about Mr. Qi's approach to cheating? Do you think he's being too harsh? Let us know in the comments below!
