This amazing game lets you create your own dinosaur sanctuary. It was a hit when it came out in June 2023 and quickly gained popularity! The Italic Pig team behind this gem has poured their hearts and souls into it, regularly updating the game with new content and even cool DLCs!

But making games isn't cheap, even for the cozy ones. Unfortunately, despite all their hard work and the amazing community that formed around the game (with players creating fan art, crocheted dinos and much more), it turns out, Paleo Pines could be shutting down. The team recently made a plea for help on X (formerly Twitter).

Why Paleo Pines Is In Trouble

The team explained that their money is running low despite all of the DLC and merchandise sales. Even a small Indie team has a lot of costs: Keeping the servers running, adding updates, designing the game itself are just some of the major things these teams are trying to accomplish! This isn't a case of low sales. They truly do have a big fan base!

This whole process has also meant putting additional projects on hold! Even some for PC, consoles, and mobile.

So what's the problem? Well, even big hits from smaller teams still need investment or support. Sadly, It looks like getting funds is hard. In their plea for support, the Paleo Pines team even emphasized that it’s not just their game facing this issue—the Indie game scene is really struggling!
