Rockstar's Next Game: Cyberpunk GTA or New Sci-Fi IP?

Rockstar Games, the legendary game developer behind Grand Theft Auto, hasn't given fans a lot of information lately, leaving gamers hoping for a new big game, especially a new franchise! While Grand Theft Auto 5, and its ongoing success with Grand Theft Auto Online keeps making tons of money, fans want a new adventure!

A New Rockstar Franchise?

Recently, Reddit user RogerRoger63358 posed a question that’s been in the back of many fans’ minds! A cyberpunk-style game, a Grand Theft Auto game, with a sci-fi twist!

While some fans thought it could be awesome, other gamers believed that this would just dilute the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Reddit user vi______________ had an idea and suggested something better. Instead of continuing to work on Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar Games creates a new game, a standalone title.

A Cyberpunk Game:

A cyberpunk-styled game that might even be similar to Cyberpunk 2077 is a great idea. Cyberpunk 2077 and Grand Theft Auto might seem worlds apart, as their games take very different paths, however, the two series are similar, especially if you want a detailed game environment. Rockstar has a real knack for adding amazing and compelling elements to the open world and that same sense of detail could help make an immersive cyberpunk environment.

There could be new and exciting things too. Rockstar could bring this same degree of detail. Taking an action adventure angle may really give fans what they’re craving! It may be inspired by Saints Row 4.. There might also be opportunities for other features.

Rockstar could fix some problems that plagued Cyberpunk 2077. It had issues with robotic NPCs and timing for events. Rockstar’s expertise with character development, combined with creating really immersive worlds could help alleviate that concern.

No doubt this bold sci-fi RPG will really hit those notes! Whether that's in the Grand Theft Auto series, or a unique series. We really should be getting some new information at some point about new releases. Time will tell if we get any announcements about any games soon!
