PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) is adding some new games in October—Dead Island 2 and Gris, among others—but there's a seriously major catch: some of its biggest games are LEAVING! PS Plus, revamped in 2022 to compete with Xbox Game Pass, adds and removes games monthly. And October is shaping up to be brutal. This is huge news. This sudden, unexpectedly enormous shift in PS Plus’s lineup could possibly trigger many PS Plus subscriptions to discontinue, causing a great financial concern.

As reported by IGN, a whole bunch of massive titles—Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and four Kingdom Hearts games (including Kingdom Hearts 3)— are getting the boot in November! That's a huge chunk of the PS Plus library vanishing.

October looks great at a glance! It features lots of games, plenty for several people to choose from based upon individual tastes. Yet those massive departures are concerning and leave many considering those changes and considering ending their own PS Plus subscription because of how that quality of life was impacted by those key changes – generating another negative effect that affects the market itself, the financial losses and resulting impacts that would necessarily harm any similar games streaming service that’s affected this much in such a brief time period! We will only find out later if it remains just an exceptionally poor month, generating anxieties for this streaming service. Only time will really tell.
