Unlocking NG+ is simple: beat the main game, see the ending, watch the credits. You’ll then get a prompt. Create a new save file to begin! Your total playtime carries over (just like those other awesome Atlus games). So don't panic when the playtime isn't zero; This doesn't affect actual progress.

Money, MAG, Items, Equipment, Gold Beetles: This will completely benefit your early game, making things much more enjoyable.
Archetype Progress: You will still have to unlock Archetypes. However; previous progress is instantly available once unlocked.
Royal Virtues (Social Stats): These are incredibly useful! This means far more versatility; and maximizes your time in areas you’ll need to focus on.

It is especially noteworthy for maximizing the usefulness and value generated through this additional aspect of NG+ – Those social stats were particularly important. Maxing those Royal Virtues before that initial playthrough is ideal, that alone is worth spending those extra days and efforts. You don’t need to redo the same effort; you need more loot!
