In Metaphor: ReFantazio, EXP and MAG are your best friends. They’re how you level up your character, becoming an unstoppable force in those crazy boss battles! This means grinding. Lots and lots of grinding. Yet it doesn't need to be some painful, endless slog. It's about maximizing your efficiency. There's clever tricks and sneaky ways of turning this potentially boring part of the game into something really manageable; which allows you more enjoyment outside of those intensely challenging fights and those super epic moments! We're about to unlock your inner farming ninja.

You'll probably fight a ton of enemies in this game anyway, and just playing would often naturally get you some necessary EXP and resources; however it's iMPortant to strategize; some additional planning really boosts those gains!

EXP Farming: Conquering Instances and Smashing Elementas

To make grinding efficient, you're going to need to take advantage of ReFantazio's brilliant instance reset trick. It’s easy, and really powerful. Basically: you beat all enemies in an area, then leave and re-enter – bam! All your enemies have respawned and can now be defeated once again! This method could be repeated as many times as you like! However you really want to aim for enemies a few levels below you; which could provide additional bonuses through those battle experience increases!.

That blue hue from your Fae Sight means your party's about three levels above them – perfection! Pick areas that contain lots of enemies– the better options prioritize areas with multiple enemy types! Then do something even more creative – Hunt for Elementas! Elementas are uniquely rewarding – huge EXP and MAG, but there’s only one per instance. That's why those additional skills, for fighting fast; such as elemental vulnerabilities, would matter.

However there is an important point. EXP rewards drop slightly as you level up, that means moving around! You don't need to fight things where your characters are about five or six levels higher than the enemies present. Find tougher areas. Keep exploring and leveling!

MAG Farming: Boosting Your Archetypes and Combat Power

MAG is what you really need to unleash new Archetypes; expanding your skill sets and making those tough boss encounters much easier! Your MAG needs to reach those requirements if you’re aiming for a specific archetype; and grinding that is required to make this possible.

Once again, that instance reset trick's a lifesaver here! It is equally important here as for exp! Fight everything. Then leave and return for more enemies and those amazing resources. Remember: keep switching zones when you’re higher leveled. Those gains are what you want. This can mean those super-strong enemies will have limited effectiveness; thus it would be much smarter to strategically choose better options based on the difficulty relative to your own skills and what level the character has already obtained, in order to maximize.

Don't forget those additional bonuses! Smash objects for MAG! Do optional quests! Watch for events!
