LittleBigPlanet 3 Delisting: Get It Before It's Gone!

Fans of PlayStation are getting some major news! It looks like a big title is about to disappear and this might break some hearts!

LittleBigPlanet 3 Is Leaving

That's right! It's time to say goodbye to LittleBigPlanet 3! For anyone who is a fan of this long-running and beloved platformer you need to prepare yourself because on October 31st, 2024, it will leave the PlayStation Store forever. This includes all DLC, meaning fans who want the entire experience will not have the digital copies of this title.

This means after October 31st, LittleBigPlanet 3 will only be available as physical copies. This means the game's removal comes just weeks after PlayStation announced the release of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered!

This isn't just a regular game. LittleBigPlanet 3 was a unique title with its focus on puzzles, platforming, and the awesome custom-creation tool! The custom tools provided such an engaging, exciting opportunity for gamers! With community levels available it seemed as if this game could have endless play, so its upcoming removal has definitely caused fans disappointment.

The removal is happening nearly a decade since the game first appeared, a year after the PlayStation 4 hit store shelves. Even earlier PS3 releases for this series, LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2. had previously had their servers turned off in 2021 and have been missing their special online play aspect ever since.

LittleBigPlanet Server Shutdown

It may seem unexpected! But the shutdown was something the Media Molecule team did earlier in 2024 and that was announced without a clear explanation other than stating this was "temporary." It soon changed, without giving previous warning that the change would end up being permanent! Those that didn't complete everything online and save all of those levels lost their work.

For LittleBigPlanet players. Getting their hands on a copy of the title is a priority. Especially before October 31st, 2024! That means that after this date only the physical versions of the game can be purchased, meaning that this entire series might become much harder to find in stores. With the shutdown of the servers earlier in 2024 many have lost content permanently so buying a copy before October 31st is especially necessary.

Impact Of LittleBigPlanet Removal

Many were sad and concerned to see their game disappear from the PlayStation store, making many search for options. While some fans aren't shocked, they knew something was coming.

The biggest surprise is that this has given an additional reason to get digital game copies quickly before these types of situations are unavoidable! Especially because, even the physical versions may see a major change in pricing and become a lot harder to acquire, and likely become quite expensive after digital sales disappear from PlayStation Store for good.

The fact is. LittleBigPlanet 3 really gave the PlayStation consoles such an iconic platform title, and the end feels quite unfair for gamers!

For anyone who is a big fan of this title. Be sure to pick up a copy soon as they have been given a heads-up! If it's not clear the team that works at Media Molecule made a post about this very situation so grab yours before it is too late.
