In Orpheus Underworld journey to the Afterlife, his actions do seem very self-serving. We see him more as wanting to be with Riddy and less as loving her deeply, though he tells others the opposite! This kind of behavior makes his visit to the Underworld appear more as a desire to save something he possesses!
The River Styx journey led Riddy to trapped afterlife, because she'd been forced to cross without a coin! But her fate wasn't quite grim! Riddy's forced stay was crucial to Kaos season 2 because she'd been told that gods, in their effort to keep everything in control, create The Nothing Kaos and use gods' lies Kaos to keep control over human lives. The story makes it clear that the ancient Greeks aren't just immortal beings with incredible power but actually some sneaky manipulators!
Kaos, has a whole lot of detail to offer and takes inspiration from some big moments in Greek Mythology. Kaos weaves in themes about death, love, loyalty, deception, and truth as the main Kaos characters. There are many elements of the Greek mythology woven into Kaos worldbuilding, and the show's fantastic soundtrack (Kaos songs) make this all very captivating. Don't forget to give Kaos score a listen!
