Jimmy Fallon has long been a staple in late night television with “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon”. Jimmy Fallon recently joined musical guest Bad Bunny for a skit on “The Tonight Show” with a surprise subway busking event for commuters in New York City. They wore disguises in wigs and sunglasses to give both a humorous performance. The pair chose an unexpected location to attract an audience by using their performance as a surprise reveal.
They sang the 90's classic “I Want It That Way" by The Backstreet Boys which helped to gain a crowd’s attention. After that Bad Bunny debuted his new song with “NUEVAYoL” while Fallon supported by playing the tambourine. These interactions drew praise from those watching that it felt fresh while still holding aspects of what fans come to enjoy. The videos which then surfaced on various forms of social media and the full performance made it something to engage audiences as many wanted a different view.
The format of “subway busking” is a recurring format seen on the show, with prior appearances of bands such as Maroon 5, Green Day, Alanis Morissette and many more. This style of video gives a candid view and provides entertainment for all by using public space.
The purpose of the impromptu performances were all in promotion for Bad Bunny’s new album. The album’s release in 2025 and title of the work roughly translates to "I should have taken more photos ", has a deep meaning for the musical artist that was reflected upon during an interview with Fallon.

After years of experience Bad Bunny also announced his first concert residency in his native home of Puerto Rico. The tour which has been named “No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí” will began in San Juan. With multiple shows the idea was to make sure many could have an equal experience to view him at home.
