Hold onto your wands, Harry Potter fans, because a beloved game in the Wizarding World is about to face its end! A group of devoted players is calling for help! They're trying to make sure that Harry Potter: Magic Awakened doesn't get shut down!
The world of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, will disappear forever as the servers close on October 29, 2024. It has had great popularity and tons of dedicated fans.
These fans are banding together! Hoping that they can convince NetEase Games to step up to the plate and make the magical game survive.
If you didn't know that the game was being shut down for a lot of the world! It was taken off the App Store and Google Play as well, and those who haven't had a chance to play, it doesn't look like they will get their chance either!
It wasn't long ago, that the game had been released in North America, Europe and even some parts of Oceania.
It came out around August 26th, 2024 and the decision made a big wave as these passionate fans took notice.
However, a petition on Change.org hopes to give the magical game a second life! What's really amazing is that there's a group of devoted players with a huge goal: they want NetEase Games to bring this popular card game into its collection for good.
The biggest issue might be financial. For anyone who's seen how well these "Harry Potter" stories perform and with so many great titles to their name! Warner Bros. Games didn't offer much detail as to why this game would disappear.
Warner Bros. Games have already made an announcement saying that those servers they are in charge of are shut down! Fans realized the "Harry Potter: Magic Awakened servers will continue running if they are run by NetEase Games and the group working to keep the game alive hopes to persuade them.
Even with a major shift towards making sure that fans are taken care of, there is no real assurance! As "NetEase Games" haven't given any real clues as to what might happen next, however, the fans' effort, has a major possibility.
There's also a call for people to support and it has been met with lots of excitement from passionate players. What makes it even more exciting? As this campaign began it hit over 5,000 signatures! Fans really are interested and wanting the Wizarding World to continue!
As the servers are set to shut down on October 29, 2024 it really seems like fans will need to come together and bring back the Magic. If fans get their wish, maybe this magical card game will find a new, special, and incredible home with the right support!
The Wizarding World has a place in so many people's lives! What looks like a devastating loss for many, just might be the beginning of something better. While we might not know what's in store next, there is hope as these players push to ensure Harry Potter: Magic Awakened will get the chance it deserves to come back. Keep an eye out!
