Fortnitemares 2024: Billy the Puppet Boss Fight Guide

Get ready for some spooky fun in Fortnite! Fortnitemares 2024 has arrived, bringing back the annual Halloween event with a terrifying new boss: Billy the Puppet from the Saw movies!

This iconic horror villain is more than just a skin; he's a challenging boss fight that rewards players with loot. Alongside purchasing his outfit from the item shop, players can find and defeat Billy for a chance to get their hands on the brand new weapon: Boom Billy.

Finding Billy

To face off against Billy, players need to head to the new Freaky Fields point of interest (POI), which replaced Reckless Railways in the center of the map. Look for a big white house with a black roof – it's hard to miss. Once inside, enter the side room with a retro TV and watch the short video clip.

Once the clip ends, an interaction prompt will appear. Press the button and BAM! Billy erupts from the television ready for a fight!

Landing at Freaky Fields early is recommended since the new location is extremely popular. The limited-time boss battle plus a quest directing players here might turn Freaky Fields into the most sought after spot, making a speedy arrival crucial to have the best opportunity at finding and battling Billy before another player snatches him.

Defeating Billy

Billy's only attack is a simple pickaxe swing, which means players should have little difficulty keeping their distance. His health is relatively low compared to other Fortnite bosses. Even a low-rarity shotgun might do the trick with a few headshots.

If you only need to complete the "Find and defeat Billy" quest, just land one hit and escape. Defeating him cooperatively works just as well.

The biggest challenge might not be Billy himself. Once he's down, other players are usually very close, waiting for an opportunity to collect loot and eliminate the victor, as seen in my own attempt at eliminating Billy! For this reason, eliminate Billy quickly, collect the loot, and escape before becoming a victim.
