Elden Ring Rune Farming: Get Your Kids To Grind For You

Level Up Fast with a Little Help from Your Kids!

In the vast world of Elden Ring, leveling up is key to conquering its many challenges. But grinding for runes can be tedious, even for the most dedicated Tarnished. So, what's a player to do?

One clever Reddit user, NeneaMuddle, found a surprisingly wholesome solution: enlist the help of their child! A video posted to the Elden Ring subreddit shows their kid parked in front of the TV, controller in hand, diligently farming runes at Mohgwyn Palace. "POV: Have your kid farm runes for you," the caption reads. It's a heartwarming image, and one that many players likely relate to – who hasn't used the time spent with their kids to power level in their favorite game?

The comment section lit up with stories of parents and children switching roles. "I remember when my dad didn't want me playing video games because it [was] a waste of time," Redditor trangthemang commented. "My how the tables have turned. I don't want to waste my time farming so I make my son do it."

But even if you don't have a young one to enlist, there are still effective Rune Farming methods in Elden Ring. One popular spot is Mohgwyn Palace, a late-game area brimming with opportunities for quick rune gains.

Maximize Your Rune Farming at Mohgwyn Palace

Many players flock to the Monstrous Crow at Mohgwyn Palace, hoping to rack up thousands of runes with each victory. However, there's a more efficient approach. Right next to the Palace Approach Ledge-Road site of grace, you'll find a group of Albinaurics, each one dropping a generous 2,000 runes upon defeat. This makes them a much quicker and less challenging option for those seeking a fast Level Up.

For those who want to tackle the Monstrous Crow, a bow and plenty of arrows are your best bet. From the cliff on the west side, near the Palace Approach Ledge-Road site of grace, you can shoot an arrow at the Crow, causing it to fall off the cliff and yield a hefty 11,000 runes.

No matter which method you choose, make sure to use the site of grace to respawn the enemies, allowing you to farm runes as efficiently as possible. And who knows, maybe you'll even inspire your own mini-Tarnished to join in the fun.
