Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero: Dragon Orbs Guide - Unlock Alternate Paths!

Get ready for some epic Dragon Ball action! Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has some tough challenges. But don't worry, there are Dragon Orbs to help!

Dragon Orbs Explained

These aren't just any old power-ups. Dragon Orbs are special items that make certain parts of the game easier. Specifically, they're designed for those extra tough optional challenges called Secondary Clear Conditions. These often involve beating a level with time limits or specific victory conditions. They unlock additional story paths which give the player some alternate takes on the Dragon Ball story.

What Are Dragon Orbs Used For?

If you're stuck, Dragon Orbs are a lifesaver. They let you lower the difficulty of a mission with a Secondary Clear Condition, making it easier to meet those challenging objectives. Important note though: once you use an orb, it's gone. You can't use it for another mission, or even reuse it on the same mission if you fail. This also means no extra rewards! You won't earn extra Zeni or unlockables using a Dragon Orb. Only the completion of a story mission by using an orb grants the alternate story arc for those specific battles.

They can only be used during the game’s story missions. Just select "Use Orb" at the bottom of the screen.

Getting More Dragon Orbs

Want more Dragon Orbs? There is only one way, which also requires quite a bit of time and dedication. To get these powerful items, you need to collect the Dragon Balls and wish on one of the mighty dragons for one very special reward. That's right! Make a wish on either Shenron, Super Shenron, or Porunga and you’ll be on the road to unlocking additional power!

This takes dedication, especially with the fact that each dragon has limits to what they're able to do!

  • Each wish for a Dragon Orb can only happen once, and it is only once, unless the player uses Porunga
  • To earn another orb the Dragon Balls need to be recollected which can feel tedious, which makes planning on your use of these orbs so much more critical! You need to understand when and why to spend them. Make sure to use your limited orbs wisely.

Strategy for Dragon Orb Use

These orbs are limited so think of how and when to use these.

  • Only use them on the difficult parts.
  • Save them for those Secondary Clear Conditions and don't waste them on easy missions where you have better chances of clearing objectives without an orb.
  • Remember main story fights give rewards; orbs are mainly for unlocking alternate storylines.
