15. Cloak of Protection: Simple But Surprisingly Effective

A perfect starter item! Found in Act 2 from the Harper Quartermaster Talli, near the Last Light Inn waypoint. A +1 boost to saving throws and AC (armor class) makes a huge difference, and is crucial for LightTrickery, and Knowledge domains; it’s valuable even with those capable of wearing heavy armor because these add another level of durability.

14. Slippery Chain Shirt: Tactical Retreat Made Easy

Located in a hidden Festering Cove chest (rAAZ's video will show you how!). Medium armor (any cleric can use it!) with an AC of 13 + Dexterity; yet that’s only half the story! This smart shirt auto-disengages you after healing an ally, making those smart retreats and positional changes far more seamless than expected.

13. Luminous Armor: Radiant Damage With a Shockwave

A super awesome hidden item! Found at a Selûnite Outpost secret room (using Marika Starflower's trick!). This armor’s radiant damage causes radiant shockwaves. This results in -1 to attack rolls, coupled with stunning brilliance (radiant light) that helps both positioning and that crucial ability to spot other potential threats during combat.

12. Vital Conduit Boots: Concentration is Key!

Clerics can cast high-level spells that demand focus, concentration – and survival!  This is the solution. These boots improve Athletics and add eight temporary hit points whenever a cleric casts a concentration spell (GuidanceBeacon of HopeSpirit Guardians – to name a few!). This improves those critical moments of combat and would prove particularly beneficial when dealing with enemies which may otherwise harm the character's concentration unexpectedly.

11. Ring of Free Action: Movement Freedom on the Battlefield

A super essential accessory, easily available from Araj Oblodra in Moonrise Towers! This beauty allows free movement past any difficult terrain; that, alongside full paralysis and immunity from restraint guarantees those healing Spells and support functions could occur regardless of the situations.

10. Armor of Persistence: High AC and Cantrip Bonuses

This is a heavy armor choice, requiring that heavy armor proficiency, great for War or Tempest domains. Its already incredibly impressive stats— AC 20! plus two-point damage reduction makes this valuable early, and this would remain important through those intense later moments! Those effects include permanently having Resistance and Blade Ward cantrips; plus additional damage resistance coupled with massive +1d4 bonus on those all-important saving throws. Insane!

9. Adamantine Scale Mail: Defense Plus a Powerful Knockback Effect

This is one of the top armor choices available in BG3. Found at that amazingly located Adamantine Forge in the Underdark, it’s an awesome choice to acquire during gameplay! After getting it you want to immediately make this and this would be a great item through the remainder of your playthroughs.  AC 16 + Dexterity (max +2), one-point damage reduction, plus critical hit immunity, making this incredibly impressive.

8. Viconia's Walking Fortress: Shield With Enormous Benefits

This is available after defeating Viconia DeVir! A top-tier shield – a legendary piece! You want +3 AC, advantage on saving throws vs spells, plus a disadvantage on the enemy's spell attack rolls; but we’re not done here yet folks. It casts Warding Bond once per long rest, and that defensive shell makes for yet another defensive mechanism once per short rest. Plus knocking down attackers with 2d4 force damage. A true legend.

7. Hood of the Weave: Massive Spellcasting Boost
