Fans of "A Quiet Place" movies will be thrilled to learn about this newest addition to the franchise - "A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead", a new survival-horror video game. This first-person experience lets players step into that silent, monster-infested world and really feel what it’s like to hide, sneak, and avoid those terrifying Death Angels that are, as you know, incredibly good at hearing.
You’ll have to be super stealthy in “The Road Ahead”. The game’s official trailer gives you a peek at just how tense the action is. One wrong step on some broken glass and that’s it, a Death Angel hears it, hunts you down, and you’re game over. This feels very true to the “A Quiet Place” movie universe where it is all about living in the shadow of silence!
This new game might happen in the same universe as the movies but with some twists. The game is gonna be centered around a young college student, named Alex Taylor, with a bit of asthma (a major issue when your survival depends on staying quiet). She and her boyfriend, Martin, are trying to figure out this whole new apocalypse and fight their own demons as they struggle with survival and some really intense relationships! We even see Alex taking a pregnancy test – which really brings up some emotional moments for those who've seen the movies and the struggles of Evelyn Abbott (oh, those crazy pregnancy scenes)!
For now, “The Road Ahead” is its own story with new characters! There haven't been any confir mations that any of the movie characters will be appearing in this new game. But, since the storyline seems to take place right in between those early events and “A Quiet Place: Part 2”, who knows? Maybe we'll see some familiar faces - maybe Evelyn Abbott will drop in for a quick “I'm not taking any more chances” talk. It wouldn’t be a complete shock.
If you can't wait to avoid those silent-hunting aliens in this game, then good news! "A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead" will be released in time for Halloween (when else?) on October 17, 2024. So buckle up! The game's going to be available on PC (Steam) and for console players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
It'll be a digital-only download for PC players. For console folks, they can snag a digital version or get their hands on a physical copy. You can start pre-ordering right now, so don’t miss out!
