Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Re-evolution #2 - Last Ronin II
The Last Ronin's sequel brings four fresh Turtles to carry on the heritage of the original team, and Mikey's replacement Odyn possesses a special ability that might make him almost unbeatable in fight.
Odyn: A New Turtle Powered by Stone
Odyn is presented as the group's youngest and least developed turtle, same to Mikey. Odyn strangely freezes mid-battle in TMNT: The Last Ronin II - Re-Evolution #2, transforming into a stone monument. This first seems to be a crippling ability, but by the end of the problem Odyn discovers a means of using this capacity efficiently.
The valuable asset Odyn's Hardening Power offers
Odyn is considerably more dangerous as a warrior because of his hardening power. Odyn packs more force than a standard attack by using his ability in the issue to knock out a gang member with one hit. Although this hardened skin is tough enough to represent a significant power enhancement, Odyn can move his hand and therefore it is a flexible power.
Odyn will probably be able to regulate the hardening power in several attacking and defensive forms as he keeps improving his abilities, so making him almost perfect in battle.
Odys's Authority Against His Siblings
Not only is Odyn not the only new Turtle endowed with special ability. Uno can hide in the dark, Yi has powers derived from electricity, hence Moja is the only turtle without a special power. Though Odyn's control over his hardening talent points to a new part of TMNT mythology here to stay, it remains to be seen if these powers will be permanent.
