The Terminator Comic: A New Anthology Brings Fans Back To The Future
Get ready to journey back to the Terminator universe! A brand new comic series is on the horizon from Dynamite Entertainment, a bold new addition to the franchise. Instead of telling just one story, it's a super cool anthology – think Terminator tales from different eras and timelines with fresh twists! This is an intriguing new approach and a chance to see some different aspects of the Terminator lore.
What sets this comic apart? Well, it dives deep into some classic sci-fi elements: action, adventure, survival, time travel and the ever-so-creepy "machines are taking over" vibe. Plus, it's a collaboration of writer Declan Shalvey and artist Luke Sparrow, and based on the sneak peeks so far, we’re in for something truly great!
Why Declan Shalvey Loves the T-1000
In an interview with Dynamite Entertainment, Shalvey spilled a little secret - the Liquid Terminator, the T-1000, is his absolute favorite model. You know, the guy from Terminator 2 who could morph into anything and slip through cracks and crevices. Sounds fun right?
The best part? It's not just because it’s a cool, scary character. He's a comic book writer, so obviously the T-1000 was also easy to draw! A truly brilliant and honest statement, it perfectly captures the perspective of a creator – how a character design can impact how their art takes shape! That being said, maybe they are right!
Best Terminator? Who's the Boss (Model)?
We have to say the T-1000 might be cool (and surprisingly, easily drawn), but it's not exactly the toughest Terminator around! Sure, the T-1000 might be an intimidating antagonist (remember all those "melt the steel, morph through doors" moments?), but we’ve got plenty of other Terminators with some even more bad-ass capabilities!
If we're talking the toughest models, let's think about the T-Infinity from Terminator 2: Infinity! That dude was more than just a robot, he actually had some serious time-traveling superpowers and a whole arsenal: energy blades, forcefields, plasma cannons. You get the picture. So, while Shalvey's pick was totally valid (you gotta love easy designs!), I think some other Terminators could have some strong arguments against it, even with the "it’s so much easier to draw" logic!
The Terminator Canon: Movie Model Showdown!
Okay, we can all agree that the T-Infinity might be the strongest, but remember the comic, "Terminator 3: Before the Rise". That one features the T-X (aka The Terminatrix), who managed to take on and beat the T-1000. So basically, the T-1000 might be one of the favorites in this story, but not actually the strongest model, and if we're looking at movie models only, the T-X is the winner!
If you really need to dissect the Terminator saga, then we’re all on the same page: there are many layers to explore, from those terrifying villains who travel through time, those advanced weapons and all those thrilling storylines with heroes struggling to survive. This new comic looks like it'll fit right in.
More To Look Forward To in the Terminator Universe
The Terminator universe has plenty to look forward to for the fans! From the latest movie releases to Comics, it’s really growing! There are lots of new stories waiting to be revealed in this epic, action-packed sci-fi world.
This latest comic anthology has some awesome potential to dive into those “what if?” scenarios in a super engaging way. With Shalvey at the helm and all those badass, crazy, and cool Terminator Models coming into the mix, I have a feeling that this comic will be a major hit for those seeking thrills!
