This new comic has that great Star Wars vibe; the suspense of facing new dangers in unique environments is truly what makes this franchise famous! It also features those great plot points that everyone will enjoy; introducing the core hero and those characters he might be working with! The story starts with Imperials and bounty hunters searching for hidden weapons on Endor. Meanwhile, young Wicket teams up with Meedro; a mysterious loner protector on Endor’s outskirts, beginning his unlikely but intense and very successful mentorship that is central to this entire comic! It kicks off some seriously great moments for a story featuring the amazing Wicket in a brand new capacity; emphasizing how the young Wicket grew over that brief yet immensely influential period!
Meedro: A Legendary Loner Warrior
Wicket’s trying to get the Bright Tree Ewoks to join forces with newcomers– remember how he befriended Princess Leia? That got the Ewoks fighting alongside the Rebels. Yet it is Meedro who calls for caution. He really highlights just how dangerous dealing with strangers, especially those with intentions for harm; this makes that first conflict early in the narrative far more intense! It helps highlight the character differences and just how valuable both could be in their own distinct styles and through these vastly different interactions.
Wicket learns a lot about Meedro’s legendary skill– that Meedro’s defeated various dangerous creatures (including a Temptor and a Gorax); yet he emphasizes he largely worked alone! This Meedro is skilled, determined—and quite solitary!
Meedro's Solo War Against the Empire
Wicket’s puzzled Meedro chose that solitary path. Why is living on the fringes so hard? Meedro explains—worrying about others is a serious risk and he fought those infamous “Cruel Ones” (the Empire) completely alone! He succeeds, too! This emphasizes his exceptional skill! His prowess greatly impressed Wicket; highlighting that skill is great yet collaboration could greatly assist Meedro himself—this really emphasizes just how valuable these traits are!
