It kicks off some seriously great moments for a story featuring the amazing Wicket in a brand new capacity; emphasizing how the young Wicket grew over that brief yet immensely influential period!

Wicket’s trying to get the Bright Tree Ewoks to join forces with newcomers– remember how he befriended Princess Leia? That got the Ewoks fighting alongside the Rebels. Yet it is Meedro who calls for caution. He really highlights just how dangerous dealing with strangers, especially those with intentions for harm; this makes that first conflict early in the narrative far more intense! It helps highlight the character differences and just how valuable both could be in their own distinct styles and through these vastly different interactions.
Wicket learns a lot about Meedro’s legendary skill– that Meedro’s defeated various dangerous creatures (including a Temptor and a Gorax); yet he emphasizes he largely worked alone! This Meedro is skilled, determined—and quite solitary!
