There’s this thing. In the G1 continuity, Omega Supreme had a brutal betrayal and his loss created those conditions in which the war later took an entirely unexpected and far worse direction! Megatron turned Constructicons (the original Crystal City builders) into Decepticons using this "Robosmasher" device. This completely rewrites Crystal City’s importance within the timeline of this ongoing battle for power. Then? They betrayed him, destroyed the city and that's what eventually began Omega Supreme's pursuit across the galaxy. The Energon Universe hasn't revealed the whole story yet. How much this stays intact, that initial plot device from early conflicts remain, these will only become far clearer over time as that whole new Universe progresses further! What that storyline’s meaning really implies concerning current ongoing storylines.

When Megatron asks for Ulchtar's name, that changed, inspired character has an amazing reply – “Starscream”—honoring Genvo's "screaming the stars" line; resulting in that name creating additional meaning when later considering the massive significance and presence of Omega Supreme. That's crazy! This name reveal not only changes Starscream's identity, adding far greater nuance, emotional connection and deeper meanings but this is even funnier considering his long, complicated interactions in later conflicts, and throughout later Transformers series!

Omega Supreme's Future in the Energon Universe

There is the Void Rivals series which implies that this Sacred Ring setting is related to Unicron; and those hints about Zerta-Trion (a Alpha-Trion analog) highlight those levels of potential power. The sheer quantity and depth of details around how they impact this Universe shows the depth of details and how much this production truly involved and the quality expected.

Omega Supreme's role hasn't been fully established; those enormous power levels clearly suggest some enormous upcoming developments. His possible arrival in the current Energon timeline would surely mean Autobot victory in their struggle with those Decepticons and especially in his hunt for those Constructicons; completing that earlier storyline device from way, way back and possibly providing closure. That huge addition, would surely change things permanently! All those additional conflicts would result in an entire new arc; one potentially more emotionally rich; showing some needed depth of storyline; especially in conflicts surrounding earlier betrayals. Expect Omega Supreme's presence to shake things.
