Failsafe is Batman's darkest variation.
Bruce Wayne can be a quite poisonous and paranoid man, no secret. Bruce has tried to drive the Bat-Family away from him thousands of times, and in the past Nightwing and Batman have gone to blows over this. Bruce Wayne: Fugitive is the best example; Batman treats his family as nothing more than soldiers and muses of handing up the Bruce Wayne name totally. Bruce has been able to dismiss this in recent years and understand that the Bat-Family is indeed his family; Zur-En-Arrh does not share these ideas.
Bruce Wayne: Fugitive is an early 2000s crossover Batman event produced by several legendary creators. From DC Comics, the event is accessible digitally and in collected editions including a new omnibus accessible in late 2024. Batman's worst personality trait is Zur-En-Arrh, which combines all of his paranoia, anti-social behaviors, relentless mission dedication, and readiness to utilize anybody to do that task. Bruce has evolved beyond these poisonous qualities in recent years; but, they are all that Zur-En-Arrh is, and now Zur is living in the lethal Failsafe robot. Though Nightwing has no choice to save the planet, facing the very worst version of his father won't be easy. Nightwing will have to use all of his training to avoid a Batman who knows everything he does and has completely no problems tracking him down like a criminal.
DC's darkest fight in years is Nightwing vs Batman's Evil Robot Clone.
Nightwing isn't new for challenging Batman, but he'll now be confronting a version of his father utterly devoid of love or emotion. One issue promises the darkest confrontation between Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne yet as DC is approaching its Absolute Power event the publisher has started disclosing plot details for next issues.
Task Force VII #4's Absolute Power synopsis notes that Nightwing is fleeing Failsafe. Nightwing will have to evade this nightmare Batman as he seeks anybody he can to oppose Amanda Waller's new repressive government. Since Bruce's Failsafe version of Batman is all of his worst personality qualities personified, this could very well be the darkest confrontation Nightwing and Batman have thus yet. Bruce has bad habits, Dick is used to them; yet, this fight will reveal them unlike anything else. Zur-En-Arrh has really taken over the body of Failsafe, turning him into a really horrible Batman towering over criminals.
Failsafe Will Force Nightwing to Challenge Batman's Worst Errors
Absolute Power promises to transform the superhero community totally. The heroes will be battling simply to survive as all superheroes lose their abilities and Amanda Waller rules over Earth. Nightwing will be the one to volunteer to try to assemble heroes to oppose Waller's army; the town is scattered and terrified, thus it makes perfect sense. Will he, however, truly be able to thwart the worst form of his own father? Although Nightwing has defeated Batman before, he will be in for the biggest fight of his life when Nightwing directly faces Batman's worst facets.
Task Force VII #4 comes on August 14th from DC Comics, absolute power! Several vigilante heroes in the D.C. world go under the superhero title Nightwing. Nightwing is shown as a warrior fighting from the shadows, makes almost perfect use of near-superhuman agility and adept combat techniques, and usually carries many weapons at hand.
