The End of an Era, But Not the End of the Heroics!
My Hero Academia's Manga might be done, but hold your horses! There's a whole lot of stuff happening in the My Hero Academia universe. Sure, we're all bummed about the manga's ending. Ten years is a long time to follow Izuku Midoriya and the gang! But fear not, there are still so many things for fans to keep their eyes on.
My Hero Academia is huge right now. It's one of the biggest series to come out of Shonen Jump in years, and with movies, the Anime series still going strong, and even spinoffs, there's a ton for MHA fans to enjoy.
Voting for Your Favorite Hero
Want to let everyone know how much you love All Might? Well, get your voting fingers ready for Shueisha's popularity poll - "WORLD BEST HERO". It's open to fans everywhere and gives you the chance to pick your favorite My Hero Academia characters. There are tons to pick from! Two phases of voting will decide the final winner.
This is a super cool thing, because fans all over the world have the opportunity to show who they think truly is the "WORLD BEST HERO"! It will be exciting to see what the final results will be.
Keep the Anime Engine Running!
While the manga is finished, we are still knee-deep in the awesome Anime adaptation! The current season is cranking through the Final War arc and there's plenty of material left for the eighth season! We'll probably be getting our dose of MHA season 8 sometime in 2025. The anime really nails the look and feel of the manga, even making some interesting changes to make the stories even cooler. And who doesn't love awesome animation, soundtracks, and voice acting? If you've finished the manga, the anime will still offer a great experience for My Hero Academia fans.
You're likely in for another emotional ride through the anime, as they finish up the Manga's Final War and give us an awesome anime adaptation of the ending, but remember - this is not the end!
New Adventures on the Big Screen
The fourth My Hero Academia movie, "My Hero Academia: You're Next", has recently dropped in Japan! And it's totally awesome. It features a dark, evil All Might, who makes trouble for everyone after the Paranormal Liberation War. Even though it comes after the manga ended, the movie still has its place in the story, which is really cool. It's a super epic cinematic experience! The US release is slated for October 11th! Other release dates are still under wraps but the movie seems to be a total hit.
My Hero Academia: You're Next doesn't seem to be based on the manga storyline, but that could be good news! It has the chance to add some extra spice to the universe by focusing on the period between wars - the darker times!.
My Hero Academia Is Expanding
You can get your My Hero Academia fix from different sources! "My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions" is a great series to read - even if it's considered a non-canonical side story. This manga has some different heroes working together on cool missions. "Team-Up Missions" brings some good humor to the story too! If you need a break from all the serious stuff, it's a really nice change of pace. You can also get more stories with the light novel series, "My Hero Academia: School Briefs". They are more comedic, and explore little adventures with characters like we have never seen before.
You might be surprised at how fun some of the characters' personality can be outside of the major plot lines. The series offer an opportunity to really dive into a more laid-back environment and even provides insight into the personalities of the characters you have grown to know and love!
Vigilante Justice!
Vigilantes is a cool prequel manga. The series stars a whole group of new heroes. The story follows a young hero named Koichi Haimawari who wants to become a hero despite not being at U.A. It shows his journey to becoming a vigilante, working outside the official system, to protect his community. This one goes a lot deeper with the My Hero Academia lore.
It seems like a Vigilantes anime would be super popular, considering how good the manga is, so you might have another My Hero Academia series coming in the future! Fingers crossed it comes to fruition.
New Chapters In The Future?
Everyone is wondering about what might happen next! Could there be a Boruto-esque sequel that'll be happening next in My Hero Academia, after all, that worked really well for Naruto! Maybe they will take this next big step and expand on the series that's already had so much success. Right now, it's still pretty early to tell. We know the author, Horikoshi, is looking to work on other projects, but he's also left some interesting doors open. If a sequel is something fans really want, then who knows - maybe it'll happen!
If the My Hero Academia Universe did have another series coming up, that would be awesome! There are tons of ways to continue the story after the final war! Maybe Deku’s offspring or another group of UA students get the spotlight? What do you think will happen in the My Hero Academia Universe next?
