Monster High: New Scaremester - Monster Claws Shake Up The Monster World!

Monster High: New Scaremester

Monster High: New Scaremester is a new comic book series by IDW Publishing, which features familiar characters from the Monster High franchise but also introduces a new storyline, differing from the Monster High movies.

Monster High Lore - The New Scaremester

This comic series takes its inspiration from the Monster High world and continues the story as depicted in the novel Once Bitten, Twice Dead by Tiffany Schmidt. In this new Scaremester, the Monster High students encounter a significant change in the Monster World.

Monster High's Monster Claws

This new Scaremester introduces the "Monster Claws". They are ancient laws written by the founding monsters, reintroducing a separation between the monster world and humans. Humans are referred to as "normies" by the monsters.

Monster High - Humans and Monsters

While humans have attended Monster High, including Frankie’s grandfather, Victor Frankenstein, and a few others, this new installment pushes a theme of division between humans and monsters, reversing a trend of unity shown in previous Monster High movies. This might cause a shift in the perception of monster acceptance, which has been a key theme in the franchise.

Monster High - Relationship Evolution

With the introduction of Monster Claws and this emphasis on separation between humans and monsters, fans may witness shifts in the dynamics of the Monster High characters, potentially altering monster-human relationships that were more collaborative and less restrictive in previous installments.

Monster High: Future

While the Monster Claws are the main theme in New Scaremester, fans can expect more exciting adventures as well as additional elements, such as the Halloween special. It remains to be seen whether future installments will keep the Monster Claws in place. However, they have set the stage for interesting developments.

IDW's Monster High

IDW Publishing is producing the Monster High comics and this particular series offers an additional and exciting layer to the Monster High franchise. With nine issues planned for New Scaremester, it’s worth noting that this series builds on the existing Monster High lore and adds an important part to the overall Monster High Universe.
