The thing is gigantic; this seriously hulking beast vastly outweighs even Jack Russell in his werewolf form and shows incredible power. It takes on Jack through superior force alone; and we get hints from the comics that the creation uses parts of Jack’s own body which implies a much greater danger that might occur in the future and that it’s something that might possess an extremely disturbing human host and is capable of immense feats due to its origin as a monstrous amalgamation. That is terrifying!

And this is pure genius from the Hood. He proves time and time again his incredibly skilled power as a villain through creative use of all available resources. And the appearance of this Hound Thrall just as Chthon is unleashed into the world itself means the release of the Hound Thrall is even more profoundly meaningful! The connection serves as another significant foreshadowing device: It's Chthon's new herald and is going to cause tremendous damage! Expect an upcoming, massive conflict between Jack Russell and his Chthonic nightmare clone!
