Olgrun's Memories Invade John Stewart's Mental Territory
Though not in the classic sense, the pages include a flashback sequence. These are Olgrun's memories pushed into John's head. John's body, caught inside the Dark Star of the Fenn, changes unnaturally as he revisits these memories. Driven with Olgrun's poisoned light, his form starts to reflect Olgrun's original form.
Olgrun's Strategy: An Attractor for Return
John is warned by surviving Old God Byla that Olgrun is depriving him of his memories and essence, substituting his own, so transforming Green Lantern into a vehicle for his return.
Once a strong god of the First World, Olgrun sank into lunacy and was split into seven aspects by the other Old Gods. Olgrun, yearning for his former glory, has focused on John Stewart, the most strong man he could locate.
