And this major, insane event promises to become incredibly significant:   This has enormous implications across many places in Marvel's stories and shows why many long-time fans are shocked! He even went through one of Marvel's most awesome character redemptions – turning from a villain to an actual, outright superhero; yet now is that same person who now becomes the insanely vicious, ruthless Carnage! Let’s talk Carnage. He is the most vicious symbiote in Marvel. That insane twist makes Eddie as the new host become a pivotal character for that legendary Venom/Carnage rivalry. The switch was unexpected! But now? This delivers insane potential; showing Eddie, already facing immense internal challenges due to trying to restrain the bloodthirsty cravings from that insane symbiote, and has many avenues that haven't been touched in the current canon which really brings up those exciting possibilities; a lot of intense moments awaiting everyone who loves Eddie! That is guaranteed. Even the original, far more savage and violent Carnage and how the original storyline changed across decades of issues has impacted many people; showing just how iconic this symbiote already is.

Bonding with symbiotes is messy business. Venom originally craved brains; forcing Eddie to commit terrible murders. Luckily he managed to feed Venom with chocolate for later events; unfortunately, this trick isn’t going to work here for this symbiote!

Carnage loves to kill; Cletus Kasady was always that perfect host; yet Eddie Brock must find a way to curb Carnage's urge to kill without harming innocents; presenting an incredibly complex challenge and possibly setting the story up in an entirely different and new direction. It means taking his Lethal Protector identity further than it's ever been; focusing on going after really bad people; providing Carnage with bad guys only, providing the opportunity to continue as a hero, which completely fits the storyline!

That’s some seriously dark stuff. Eddie’s been struggling for years; wanting that path toward redemption. And he's been several other beings within Marvel Comics including Anti-Venom, and King in Black; showing that he remains a relatively interesting and frequently reimagined character. He's Venom,  now he’s also Carnage; showcasing just how difficult a path these kinds of intense experiences can be. The dark potential that results makes this a huge change and this moment becomes a turning point for Eddie, highlighting what kind of experiences await in future titles that feature Carnage, showing this completely unpredictable path toward possibly becoming completely irredeemable.
