Blade just has a five-month probable delay window at this point till it crosses with Avengers 5's existing release date. The script of Avengers 5 might not be able to wait till Blade's story is completely clear, hence Blade's role could be kept under low importance.
In the ending of the Infinity Saga, Carol Danvers had nothing to do; her introduction was overshadowed by the Avengers' war against Thanos. Introduced late in the Multiverse Saga, Brie Larson's Captain Marvel lost out on the opportunity to grow her character arc alongside other heroes such Iron Man and Captain America. Carol Danvers had little to role in the Infinity Saga's ending as Captain Marvel was releasing just one month before Avengers: Endgame, and the struggle against Thanos dominated her introduction. Mahershala Ali's Blade could experience the same at this pace.
The several Delays of Blade can lead to a Phase 3 release error in the MCU introduction for the vampire hunter.
