The Symbiote Design of Black Widow: A Creprous New Look
The Black Widow Natasha Romanoff is always renowned for her lethal abilities and shrewd strategies. But with a menacing new symbiote design, Marvel's forthcoming Venom War takes her venomous spider theme to a whole fresh level.
Revealed on the cover of Venom War: Venomous #1, this eerie redesign confirms Black Widow's status as among Marvel's most powerful heroes. Her famous black and red suit still exists, but now has an angular, spider-like look with red accents that resemble those of a spider's eyes. Her new appearance lets her fit the Spider-man universe.
Black Widow and Her Symbiote: a lethal alliance
Natasha Romanoff's Symbiote, affectionately called "Widower," has grown to be a mainstay of her toolkit. Originally presented in Venom #23, the symbiote has a special relationship with Black Widow that improves her powers and offers a potent new weapon. The most remarkable ability of this symbiote is its capacity to consume memories, which lets Natasha retrieve data from reluctant targets.
This unique capacity confirms the Symbiote's value in espionage, a talent Natasha developed over her protracted and perilous career as a spy. Although Clint Barton, Hawkeye, voiced his discomfort about the symbiote and admitted its creepiness, he finally embraced it as a component of Natasha's special ability set.
New Look of the Venomous Black Widow
But Black Widow's new symbiote design pushes this symbiote relationship to a frightening degree. Her red hair's spider-like patterns—which resemble eyes—as well as her fangs-like hair curls highlight her fatal character and a very venomous "Widow's Bite."
Black Widow will be a formidable force in the forthcoming Venom War, as this eerie and strong new look accentuates her fierce character and makes clear.
