Beast Boy: Beyond the Jokes - DC Comics' Tragic Hero

Beast Boy is a popular DC superhero, even appearing in popular shows such as the Teen Titans!

A Different Beast Boy:

While you might recall Beast Boy's lighthearted moments in cartoons like Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, things have taken a dark turn in his more recent appearances! Now, fans will see a version of Beast Boy who goes through immense hardship and it has changed fans' view about the character entirely.

Beast Boy's Tragic Past:

It might be easy for some to think, maybe it's all part of being a super hero! But then he faced the supervillain, Deathstroke. The big, iconic hero killer attacked Gar in the eye! Afterward Gar was forced to make another attempt at recovery, but once again got forced into another tragedy - as the Beast World storyline came to an end, giving fans some harrowing moments.

The New Beast Boy:

There has never been a shortage of intense storylines! But what happened to Beast Boy is different and he seems to have had an intense arc!

The series of misfortunes that Gar was facing, really had an effect and he had been battling the effects for a while!

• The supervillain Deathstroke had done damage during his run through "Titans Academy!"
• The whole universe went through some turmoil.
• Fans get a true feeling that this was a big attack that took some truly big heroes and forced the Titans to have a powerful test to see just what they were made of.

Fans who had loved Beast Boy as the big joke in other stories. Got a chance to see something darker.

A New Kind Of Beast Boy & A New Audience
