It might be hard to believe. Batman, as much as we love him for his skills, has a reputation of planning to defeat allies and working to prevent anyone from getting too close. Even more, Batman was actually once given an interesting glimpse into why his disTrust runs so deep.

The Zhuguan

There was an awesome comic that showed Batman's life even before he was in Gotham. The "Batman Confidential", gave fans something no one has ever imagined, including his history as he went from Bruce Wayne, a troubled man to Batman, and we got to see that one key event, a moment of distrust!

A comic book issue called #54 was made in 2009!
This was an amazing, action packed moment for fans!
What stood out in this particular run of the series, was Batman's travels as he began to hone his craft. He went to China and took on an even more complicated moment than the events in Gotham City.
He teamed up with some heroes from a group called "Zhuguan!", whose name meant "the League" from an original comic!

He found himself in an intense situation, full of incredible combat! The Zhuguan were trying to beat down a warlord and Batman really needed the extra firepower and manpower to get through the mission! It seemed like this first attempt to team up, might have ruined things for Batman for good.

A Tragic Experience

Batman had a great mission! It even got to the point that "Zhuguan" members were even helping to power up Batman through a special drug!

It didn't go down in a super glamorous way! It seemed to be a special formula. This meant that they gave Batman abilities for the most intense, epic battle! As a fan of Batman, the moment of distrust really gets you! As you'll notice, Batman got close to killing the enemy but as this warlord was about to meet his end! They turned on the Dark Knight.

It was about getting this power. The special substance. But for Batman it showed him that people he might trust will let you down! They tricked him. He didn't really believe these figures! As much as they wanted to control him and then make him believe that it was okay because they would make their foe come back to life with the power they gave him! Even though these heroes tried to pull it off they tried to cheat the system.

How This Impacted Batman's Future

For Batman this turned out to be a major factor in how his personality developed!

He always tries to keep his emotions in check. And is known as one who controls the events of a scenario so he can handle everything without outside help! Even when faced with some incredibly strong forces, he might feel disturbed when these abilities put things out of his hands, such as a superpowered character.

It turns out these early experiences had such a big impact, especially as he progressed on his own!

That is the whole heart of Batman. A character that is able to put things into order, even using this kind of tough, sometimes brutal behavior as an outlet to bring this "justice" he so desperately searches for! In this one case, this almost destroyed him! He even created these plans that are not just an insurance plan, but a dark way of making sure he controls any event as it happens.

The Justice League And The Power of Trust

To the rest of the "Justice League", who are made up of heroes with all these incredible, amazing skills. They were meant to give a whole new type of help! However, you won't believe that Batman had been tricked. That Zhuguan experience stayed with him, so even as Batman looked at the Justice League with more distrust.

Batman felt the Justice League had been untrustworthy as they tried to conceal information. Even as the League attempted to help it seems that Batman never really felt this comfort to lean on his allies!

This incredible comic book run. Will give fans a deeper understanding of Batman, an epic DC Comics figure! He continues to captivate generations of fans. A figure, so grounded that shows even with extraordinary ability, they all must make the same journey, finding those who will have a hand in the pursuit of a more righteous and heroic world!
