Prince of Power: The Most Tragic Hero
The "Prince of Power", who bonded with the Power Stone after destroying his planet, is now one of Marvel's most tragic characters. Apex is now a Tragic Hero with a heavy guilt. The destruction of his planet and the subsequent death of his family are a constant burden. He struggles with the idea of carrying such a weight while also wielding an Infinity Stone.
Apex and Wolverine
The relationship between Apex and Wolverine is one of a shared understanding. Wolverine, whose past is marked with a lot of violence and regrets, gives Apex a valuable piece of advice on how to live with his guilt: “You just do what you can to balance the scales." Both have experienced significant tragedy in their lives; they both have a need to make up for their past actions.
The Power Stone
The Power Stone, also known as the Infinity Stone of Power, is an incredibly powerful cosmic artifact. Its wielders are able to control the forces of energy. While the stone provides extraordinary powers, it comes with a dark side, leaving Apex in a state of turmoil as he is burdened with the memory of his actions.
Marvel Version of He-Man
Apex is, in some ways, a Marvel interpretation of He-Man. Like his Master of the Universe counterpart, he holds a significant position of power and is responsible for a great deal. However, he has been defined by the events that transpired in his past and now must reconcile with them.
Wolverine's Past
Wolverine has had his own share of tragedy and regret. He is well-acquainted with dealing with the weight of his past. Having a superhuman healing factor has also resulted in a very long life marked by a long series of experiences, many of which he wishes he could change. In the MCU, he is played by Hugh Jackman in several films, making him a beloved figure among the Marvel Universe.
Apex and the Soul Stone
The Soul Stone, another Infinity Stone, grants its wielder control over souls. This is a power Apex’s friend Multitude uses to bring back the dead.
