The "Absolute Power" event sets John Constantine against Shazam. Amanda Waller, with her new Task Force VII, employs power-stealing robots known as Amazos to absorb their powers and those of other heroes, so ending the combat with a twist whereby neither wins.
Amanda Waller's Wonder Woman-inspired Amazo ambushes the heroes sheltering from Waller's campaign in "Wonder Woman" #11. It rapidly saps Constantine of his magical capacity. Then the Amazo-N targets Shazam with Constantine's pilfered powers, sending him all the way to Paris.
Shazam is sent soaring to Paris after John Constantine's pilfers of Amazo-N strike him. He runs into the Eiffel Tower and stays in Paris to restore it before returning to fight, therefore preventing its collapse.
Gotham by Gaslight Inspired by the 19th century, Batman is a rendition from Elseworlds. In " Absolute Power," Amanda Waller's Task Force VII's Amazo-N, one of six power-absorbing robots, he is flying. Except for Batman, whose position is replaced by the Zur-En-Arrh-inhabitated Failsafe, every Amazo is made to reflect a fundamental Justice League member.
Having absorbed the powers of several heroes, including Wonder Woman, John Constantine, Detective Chimp, Madame Xanadu, The Spectre, Shazam, and Mary Marvel, the Amazo-N is thus incredibly potent. Its combined forces plus the strategic genius of the "Gotham by Gaslight" Batman pilot make it a very tough opponent to beat.
The Amazos inherit the moral compass of the heroes they absorb even if they are immensely strong. This implies that the conscience of the heroes influences their behavior, so with time their effectiveness against heroes may decrease. For Waller, this is a possibly major problem since her own squad can pose a threat since their moral principles contradict with her objectives.
