Xolo Maridueña has revealed he has not yet been cast for season 2, even though he has expressed his great want to portray Ace in Netflix's live-action One Piece version. Online support for him to play Ace and fan conjecture seem to be the sources of the gossip on his casting. Maridueña himself admitted the web campaign for him to assume the position, but he underlined that he is not now active in the initiative.
Maridueña spoke on the Ace casting rumors on a recent Lone Lobos podcast edition. He said playing Ace, the older brother of Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), would be like a dream come true. He underlined also that he has not had any official offer or assurance regarding his casting in season 2.
Xolo Maridueña most famously plays Miguel Diaz in the hit Netflix show Cobra Kai. Since the opening of the show, he has been a main cast member and has received much appreciation for his performance of the role. Although Maridueña's possible participation in One Piece season 2 is much awaited by viewers, Cobra Kai is scheduled to end in 2025.
Major character in the One Piece manga and anime series is Ace. Along with belonging to the famed Whitebeard Pirates, he is the older brother of Monkey D. Luffy. Ace is renowned for his strong fire-based skills as well as for his deep allegiance to his family and friends. He is essential in many of the main arcs of the narrative, and Luffy's path is much changed by his fate.
