The X-Men universe is full of powerful mutants, but some fans have a special kind of attraction to some of these super powered characters. So much so, Gail Simone, the amazing writer known for her work on Birds of Prey and Uncanny X-Men, asked her fans who they would kiss, and they had some very interesting choices!

X-Men Fan Favorites:

It appears that Simone likes to engage with fans. Back in 2021 she asked everyone what their first comic crush was! It’s always exciting to hear from fans, who help bring stories to life and have created such memorable moments with this superhero franchise. She brought this up on Twitter/X in 2024.

This latest inquiry was really engaging. She's really interested in fan interactions and wants people to think deeply about these characters. What’s great is she got so many replies! That is so fun! What also stands out, are how some of these most recognizable faces were a big hit with her followers!

The X-Men series has been building some epic relationships for years, making romance an important part of the comics and even influencing stories. Some are very obvious and well-known. Like the pairings of Mystique and Destiny or those really exciting and messy moments from Jean Grey, Cyclops and Wolverine. Some couples might give you the heart-stopping, will-they-won't-they anticipation, such as Xavier and Magneto, this whole aspect is pretty significant and helps create such relatable, human moments for a story full of "non-humans." So it's totally understandable that fans would wonder what a possible date, romance, or fling with their favorite mutant might be like. Some even referenced the mind-blowing scenes with Emma who once used her mental abilities to become Jean Grey!

One of the best responses came from @steviecoolest who joked “Couldn’t I just kiss all of them by kissing Mystique?” Which totally ignores Mystique’s normal gorgeous look.

Then there is Rogue and Gambit. An incredibly well known power couple who could lead to amazing and possibly scary situations!
