Worthy of Becoming Donna Troy's Greatest Enemy, the Titans' Superfan Turned Android Was

Vanessa's consciousness was uploaded into an Android body when her heart stopped during one of Morrow's tests. Vanessa, now Vanadia, acquired AMAZO-like skills that let her replicate the Titans' abilities believing she was still on the road to become a hero like the Titans she idolized. Under Morrow and Waller's manipulation, Vanadia was released on the actual Titans believing androids were posing as the Titans. She proved herself to be a tough opponent for the former Wonder Girl in the next fight, believing she was battling impostors and exhibiting power that matched and even exceeded Donna's.

Vanadia's linked past makes her a suitable enemy for Donna. According to a flashback in Titans #12, Vanessa really loved Donna Troy among all the Titans when she was a child. Originally Vanadia's real inspiration to become a hero, Donna finally followed the sad road of being turned by Waller into something inhuman. Vanadia is a really deserving opponent because of her sad past, relationship to Donna, and ability to equal the former Wonder Girl in might and might. Making this adversary a regular feature in Donna's stories does, however, have one minor hitch.

Donna Troy Vows the Titans Will Try To Bring Vanadia Back, But Will She Return as a Friend or Foe?

Vanadia turning into Donna's biggest adversary is problematic as Tom Taylor apparently previously killed her off by having Evil Raven do it. Not all hope, nevertheless, is lost for the comeback of this sad scoundrel. The Titans discover her idolizing of them and that she is just attacking them since Professor Morrow is manipulating her while battling Vanadia. Their sympathy and grief follow from this. Donna says, when the team faces Morrow, they will bring Vanadia back if there is a way. It remains to be seen if the Titans will be successful and whether Vanadia returns as friend or Enemy.
