- That X-Men boss - Cyclops - just called out Kid Omega (that's Quentin Quire, who's known for those wicked omega level mutant powers) and said that he's not a fan of his nickname! It's actually not that surprising though.
How Come He Doesn't Like "Kid Omega?"
There's this long history behind it! The real reason for the bad blood is all tied to what Quentin Quire did in the Marvel Comics. If you haven't read those older New X-Men comics - well, you're in for a wild ride! Remember when Quentin Quire started leading this group, the Omega Gang, which was, well, a total mess.
- This dude killed humans who weren't cool with mutants. It's all in the New X-Men comics - specifically New X-Men #134! That got him banned from the X-Mansion because it was messed up.
- There were those crazy plans! Quentin was obsessed with taking over the planet - he even adopted the Omega symbol!
- This guy definitely has this super radical edge about him - so, it’s not super surprising that Cyclops isn't down with Kid Omega - especially since the name is so symbolic.

The craziest part? They're actually similar! The truth is, Cyclops went through his own “revolution.” He did that after Avengers vs X-Men - and that event messed everything up!

- And then you have Cyclops and Wolverine. Everyone knows they fight! Cyclops' got Wolverine as his super-tough friend - who definitely pushes Cyclops' buttons.
Kid Omega might be an unpredictable character, but we gotta love those wild characters - they always stir up the X-Men! Who knows - the tension between those two characters could make the upcoming X-Men (2024) #2 a super exciting read! What a wild, amazing Marvel Comics universe!
