Thor introduces a New God Power to Marvel Lore that would too disturb the MCU.
Thor has unveiled a new god-level power, and it is much too unsettling for the MCU. Being gods, Thor and his friends have access to abilities much beyond the typical Marvel character. While many others do not, Thor exploits his godlike powers in service to good. In *Immortal Thor* #10, a fresh ability—one with terrible effects for its victims—one too dark for the MCU—is revealed.
Al Ewing wrote *Immortal Thor* #10; Valentina Pinti drew it. Fighting the malevolent creature known just as Oblivion—who has possessed Tyr, the God of War— Thor and his family are Hermod, the speedster, discovers the possessed Tyr Tyr then kills Hermod right away by beams of black power. Later on it comes to light that Hermod has been totally erased from the cosmos owing to Oblivion. He will not visit Valhalla–or even Hel. He simply does not exist anymore.
For the Odinson and His Family, Immortal Thor Has Set the Stakes.
Celebrated for his epic *Immortal Hulk* run late last year, writer Al Ewing focused on the Odinson and launched *Immortal Thor*. Leaning more on the Norse Mythology element than other modern interpretations of the figure, the book has set Thor against the approaching Elder Gods. Moreover, *Immortal Thor* has investigated the essence of stories and narrative, illustrated when Thor becomes caught in a comic book produced by the Enchantress, almost enslaved him to the Roxxon Corporation. For Thor and his family, Ewing and associates have heightened the stakes.
And now he has boosted them even more by the evil might of Valhalla. Consigning Hermod there, Tyr let the creature live according to its name. Already ranking as a serious enemy, killing Hermod, a god would make Oblivion much more dangerous. But Oblivion denies Hermod the honor of visiting Valhalla, the revered residence of the Asgardian dead. With Oblivion, evildoers would suffer no better since they too would be wiped off of the planet and would not travel to Hel for retribution. The might of Oblivion is unlike anything Thor has encountered over his long existence.
The Powers of Oblivion Are Unthinkable in the MCU
Though they are dark, even in the comics, Oblivion's abilities might be quite disruptive for the Mcu. Although it would not be desirable for a villain experiencing Hermod's fate, for a hero to go out like is unimaginable. Hermon did not deserve to be forgotten. The narrative is still under development, hence Hermod might come back in some sort. Hermod is still a deity, however they follow different guidelines than humans. Still terrible, though, Oblivion's new ability might readily eliminate Thor in a horrifying manner.
