This is seriously controversial!  A big, bulky outfit emphasizing the excessive aspects of 90s clothing trends. Seriously big shoulder pads, tons of straps, plus a fancy new chain added to Mjolnir!  Oh, and an exposed midriff – "Crop-Top Thor"!  It totally flopped with long-time Thor fans, but it's so iconic, it deserves its place in the rankings!

9. The "Unworthy" Thor (2016): Vulnerability in Full Display

This is really unorthodox, folks. No fancy cape, Mjolnir's gone— stripped of everything—Thor's left vulnerable wielding the powerful Jarnbjorn axe! He's still seriously ripped, however his stripped down state is intentional. It emphasizes his weakened psychological state after Original Sin.

Family drama strikes again, folks!  Thor's battle against Cul Borson (The Serpent) required serious upgrades! And that meant using his dad's legendary battle armor— along with Ragnarok.   Thor’s super-protected appearance shows how much of a seriously dangerous opponent Cul Borson actually was –  It’s far removed from those typically sleek outfits he uses; becoming far more defensive, utilizing power more effectively using those defensive capabilities!

Those iconic red cape, silver helmet are all there— yet without heavy armor, emphasizing that strength without requiring visual assistance; reinforcing those thematic aspects behind his intrinsic physical capability and prowess which makes for that incredibly strong, subtle yet very powerful design decision, reinforcing the actual raw strength found in the original Thor's capabilities which make the simpler design all the more effective.

After gaining the Power CosmicThor becomes a Herald of Galactus.  And that means seriously upgrading things, including his clothing style and capabilities. This awesome look has amazing starry elements, those subtle touches highlighting the power contained within his outfit, perfectly reflecting his cosmic abilities! That giant rune on his chest links back to those Viking roots. A space-faring upgrade to truly suit his increased power!

2. The Classic Kirby Thor (1962): A Timeless Icon

This is the definitive Thor for so many, the original design that became so incredibly well-known.  That strong color scheme (those iconic primary colors) and those great details that maintain those key elements; especially emphasizing the helmet, belt, boots—all showing those classic Viking aspects while retaining that super stylish superhero appearance.   It’s iconic and it's one that remains incredibly popular with those audiences today!

1. The "Modern" Thor (2007): Classic with a Modern Twist!
