The New Ultimate Universe Honors the Original
Marvel has revived the Ultimate Universe and given it fresh relevance for a new era. The new incarnation captures the worries and fears of the 2020s while the old line mirrored the world of the early 21st century. Slowly taking over an other Earth, the Maker made sure that the age of heroes never came to pass and that those who did gain their talents were under his control. Howard Stark managed to isolate the Maker for eighteen months after opposing him. Tony Stark is assembling a new Avengers squad to challenge him while Maker is momentarily absent.
Iron Lad is not finding it simple to assemble a fresh Avengers group. In a coma is Thor, maybe the most potent member of the squad. Recently returned, Captain America has little time to acclimate to 2024 before he finds himself dragged into war against the Maker. Giant Man suffers with periods of self-doubt. Nothing of this suggests well for Iron Lad and his mission to liberate Earth.
The New Ultimates Off to Grand Start
But as The Ultimates #1 shows, Iron Lad brings these fresh heroes together, and his pre-battle yell is exactly perfect. Battle cries—especially Captain America's well-known "Avengers Assemble!"—are not foreign to The Avengers. Here Iron Lad uses a similar strategy, hoping fervently to inspire Sif, Wasp, and the others. Iron Lad is still unsure about this new squad of Avengers, as seen by the stop in the war cry; yet, they nevertheless secure their first decisive victory against the Maker and his Council, therefore launching their careers with great start.

Marvel's New Avengers Team Has the Ideal Battle Cry
Tony Stark is assembling a fresh Avengers team, and their war cry is ideal as they approach their first major conflict. Marvel's new Ultimate imprint offers fans innovative, forward-looking fresh interpretations of Spider-Man, Black Panther, and the X-Men. In the first Ultimates, a fresh Avengers squad forms to assist in the release of their planet from the wicked Maker. They reveal an amazing riff on "Avengers Assemble" as they head into their first fight.
Juan Frigeri drew and Deniz Camp wrote The Ultimates #1. Under the name Iron Lad, Tony Stark is assembling a fresh Ultimates squad. Among the ranks are this world's Reed Richards, Sif, and recently unfrozen Captain America. Captain Britain confronts the squad as they try to sign Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne.
Iron Lad Commands the Group.
Iron Lad rallies the rest of the team and yells, "Ultimates attack," but in between the two words he pauses momentarily not sure what to say. They charge into fight. For a fresh set of Avengers, this is the ideal war cry. It reveals that they are not only advocating the same cause as the previous team. The Avengers aim to establish a fresh period and planet. The Ultimates are battling for a future, a hope still developing but very hazy.
