Direct successor of the popular 1990s animated series X-Men: The Animated Series is X-Men '97. Starting where the third season left off, Marvel's comeback brings back well-known mutants such Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Gambit, Cyclops, Beast, Magneto, and Nightcrawler, who combat foes including Mr. Sinister, the Sentinels, and the Hellfire Club.
The potential premiere of the venerable Marvel mutant superhero squad in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has the preliminary title Marvel's X-Men.
Lenore Zann: I would really love to! I've always said I would want to be Rogue's mother, like her original mother, since, when you look at the cartoon, comics, the pictures of her look a lot like me, really! [ laugh] She has emerald hazel eyes and golden skin, resembling a hippie mother from the 1970s with long blonde hair. So I thought, "Wow, that would be absolutely fun." Though that would be fantastic, who knows where they are going with the scripts?
As Zann, a pillar of X-Men: The Animated Series, passes the baton to a fresh generation of X-Men actors, this could be a great approach to have her return to the franchise.
Lenore Zann: Whoever is selected, I would want to meet with them over coffee and discuss Rogue and what drives her. What are her flaws? Her Achilles weak point is what? Every actor, in my opinion, offers unique skills, interests, and experience to every part. I would thus want to have a conversation with them, if at all possible, discuss it and generate ideas; I would not want to tell them what to do. I think that would be lot of fun.
Zann still has great commitment for the program, as seen by her readiness to mentor a fresh batch of X-Men performers. Although she's not sure she'll be able to meet the new Rogue actress, her advise should start some intriguing discussion.
