Rick & Morty vs. Superman: Multiversus Comic Crossover Review!

Wubba Lubba Dub-Dub! Rick and Morty Take On Superman – The Crossover We NEVER Saw Coming!

Rick and Morty vs. Superman: The Multiversus Comic That Blew Our Minds!

Superman's faced down some seriously bizarre foes. But a team-up with Rick and Morty? That one's a new one for everyone. Thanks to Multiversus: Collision Detected #2 (written by Bryan Q. Miller, art by Jon Sommariva, inks by Matt Herms, and colors by Marshall Dillon), the worlds of Warner Bros. are colliding – resulting in those surprising characters meeting and clashing in an unprecedented manner, creating those highly unexpected scenarios never imagined before!

It starts with BatmanSuperman, and Wonder Woman having a seriously weird hallucination; this unexpectedly places them in a new situation involving the always hilarious Bugs Bunny. And it doesn't end there. These seemingly impossible meetings; those wildly divergent concepts clash; this becomes an inter-dimensional meeting creating the ultimate inter-franchise war.

Multiversus: Collision Detected #2 introduces an insane number of characters to the DC Universe. It begins with Batman interrogating Bugs Bunny; and this leads to Superman chatting with Avia (the daughter of Mister Miracle and Big Barda). That amazing “Daughter Box,” made with some seriously powerful New Genesis tech, brings in several unexpected guests! Those amazing effects generated created some unexpected results.

Suddenly everyone’s fighting:  The Flash faces Scooby-Doo and ShaggyWonder Woman takes on the Wicked Witch. And Superman?   He has Steven Universe and Garnet fighting Livewire and Parasite! These conflicts completely emphasize that unexpected clashes create incredibly unexpected results! It is a wild concept; yet unexpectedly plausible for this crossover, introducing a bunch of unexpected surprises that nobody should’ve anticipated!

But it really kicks into high gear after Batman receives a weird attack by some unknown being— only to reveal that Rick Sanchez had literally transformed Brainiac's iconic ship into his own likeness and begins to broadcast greetings! This shows that, regardless of the characters’ appearance; Rick’s arrival demonstrates exactly just how surprising even simple plot alterations can become, unexpectedly generating even further chaos, surprise and delight.

I never really anticipated seeing a crossover between Rick And Morty and DC characters, to be honest. But the combination sounds kinda perfect! And while not a big fan of Rick and Morty (although, this event shows why more people should see it); I realized these contrasting personalities clash – and are made for a total conflict, even if it's ultimately a non-canon event!

Superman represents everything good; that optimistic energy for hope. Rick? That ultimate nihilist, totally destroying multiple universes— these wildly opposing principles collide creating an unprecedented clash of personalities. Even if Multiversus: Collision Detected can’t deliver on the full depths of a regular Rick and Morty episode – it is still daring; placing such a fundamentally kind character like Superman against a supervillain capable of destroying those very worlds involved!  This demonstrates how clever thinking generates great results!

However, this confrontation feels perfectly believable. It just works!   Putting a character known for being filled with unending hope against one who only desires to destroy all; this shows that seemingly opposed personalities provide that ideal opportunity to present incredibly sharp narrative and show the vast complexities of those individuals involved!

Superman's encountered crazy villains. Rick? A highly unusual bad guy with many body counts and this insane and surprising approach really is something never quite seen before within these kinds of scenarios, presenting that opportunity to fully explore the conflict that makes these kind of events interesting and makes you pay attention and create intrigue! The potential to present that confrontation which makes you question so many things is incredibly worthwhile! It isn't surprising how DC took such an unusual choice; creating this highly-anticipated crossover that’s also made many wonder if such a combination of characterizations truly worked.

And  Superman’s great with words!  Perhaps there’s hope, and if anyone has the ability to create common ground– and bring about even momentary connections and collaboration, regardless of those differing concepts surrounding world views– it is certainly Superman! I wouldn’t anticipate a buddy-buddy relationship between the pair. But just watching Superman face a true equal; even someone as dark as Rick, this presents massive comedic and storytelling opportunities that makes the experience worth revisiting.

Conclusion: A Wild Crossover That’s Worth Checking Out

This crossover isn't canon; and doesn't add some lasting contributions to canon storylines; which ultimately could benefit those already involved in such productions!  Yet, Multiversus: Collision Detected shows creativity and makes for an amazingly unusual reading experience! Even if that overall clash and story involved in this clash are something we never previously thought would work, or create any meaningful output – we are given evidence otherwise: this entire clash actually works; proving that unusual concepts and clever thought combined into a story could be extremely interesting and completely engaging.
