Introduced in Tom Taylor's Beast World event, Donna Troy's anti-Kryptonian armor has drawn fans' attention with its remarkable construction. Although the suit hasn't surfaced in Comics yet, amazing fanart by Taratara has resurrected it and given the already cool design a cosmic twist.
The anti-Superman armor of Donna Troy is evidence of her heroine fortitude and resilience. Reminiscent of Tony Stark's Iron Man suit, the full-body suit boasts a sleek black and silver color palette, a full-face helmet, and brilliant stars and a double "W" belt set apart from her usual costume. Made of breathable liquid metal mixed with chromium and Kryptonite, the armor gives the wearer control over the power of these elements, so rendering it a great weapon against Tamaraneans and Kryptonians.
While adding a distinctive artistic improvement, Taratara's fanart faithfully replics the original anti-Superman armor design. The armor's "starry" look comes from Taratara's subdued dotting in his artwork. These dots and the real star forms on the costume help to create great depth in the whole redesign, so enhancing the cosmic feel of the suit.
Taratara's artwork not only offers a visually striking reproduction but also reminds us that Donna Troy has access to a strong instrument able of challenging even Superman. DC's Absolute Power event is almost here, thus there is a perfect chance to restore the armor into the main continuity.
Absolute Power implies possible power losses among DCU's metahumans, thus Donna needs anti-Superman armor to offset any power loss. Donna could also make good use of the suit in battle against a Superman-inspired AMAZO robot teased as enemies in the event. Jon Kent, Superman's son, A great weapon in Donna's toolkit, the anti-Superman armor's comeback in Absolute Power would not only give her a much-needed boost but also act as a reminder of her fortitude and will as a hero.
