Batman: Hush 2 Announced! Jeph Loeb & Jim Lee Return for Sequel

Holy Hush, Batman! A sequel Is Finally Coming!

Batman: Hush 2 – The Sequel We Never Knew We Needed (But Totally Want!)

Get ready, Batman fans! One of the greatest Batman storylines EVER, Hush, is finally getting a sequel, 22 years after the original! The original Hush storyline (running from October 2002 to September 2003, issues #608-618 of DC's main Batman comic) totally blew everyone away, becoming an instant classic! This awesome plot involving Bruce Wayne facing an incredibly formidable foe; showcasing both brilliance and some vulnerabilities from Batman!  DC's recent announcement of a sequel is a big deal. That recent New York Comic-Con panel revealed Batman: Hush 2; written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Jim Lee— the original team!

That insane Hush 2 reveal; showing some seriously amazing new artwork is what created a lot of the current hype, suggesting a large-scale comeback! The actual comic will be Batman #157 (hitting shelves March 2025); plus a four-page prelude in Justice League Unlimited #1! This marks another end point for another creative team involved with Batman comics, as Chip Zdarsky's run ends with issue #157 before Lee and Loeb's sequel.

The original Hush story? It was incredible, showcasing a brilliant mystery centered around that supremely effective, mysterious foe; completely skilled at manipulating events and Batman.   That plot constantly raised the stakes; keeping those reading totally engaged! The final reveal? Bruce Wayne's childhood friend Dr. Thomas Elliott was that masked menace! A major, shocking moment.

And DC never totally left Hush behind; they even teased him throughout that ongoing continuity in several later titles: there was even an earlier instance involving Jason Todd's possible connection; later adding this key moment toward this returning character's comeback; another instance which uses that creative premise involving Shush,  a female Hush.   The actual Hush character is surprisingly frequent, too. His frequent appearances only increase how important this original Hush really is, creating the expectation of some long-awaited, huge pay-off later.
