Giulio Gandini: The Quirk-Neutralizing Hero

Giulio was hired to protect Anna Scervino (a member of a wealthy family). He had the Quirk called Neutralization – able to neutralize other Quirks, making this especially valuable given Anna’s highly dangerous ability (as discussed later).

Giulio’s job sounds pretty normal at first, keeping Anna safe. However it isn't so easy to deal with. He constantly manages Anna’s intensely painful and highly volatile ability called Overmodification. Giulio’s presence totally changed Anna's life, completely removing the threat, but it did come with severe dangers.

Then the bad guys (the Gollini family) attack! They kidnap Anna to exploit her abilities, causing immense harm, a huge injury resulting in Giulio's severe injuries (the loss of an eye, an arm, and a leg) which highlights exactly how seriously damaging this whole experience becomes. He’ll do anything for Anna. However the film shows just how profound this affection for Anna really becomes.

The Gollini family was perfectly compatible. They captured Anna to further Dark Might’s plans to manipulate reality itself! Deborah’s Quirk (Daydream which hypnotizes people) showed another level for exploiting this power that is unique within Anna herself!

This particular sequence highlights just how the conflict played out; leading to many very important reveals at later portions.

Even if his job technically ends, that intense bond only deepens after he saves Anna; the Overmodification gone forever. Giulio’s devotion made his act of love profoundly affecting! They ultimately create a moment where love wins, demonstrating that, for this particular movie and this series; the main story wasn’t mere conflict – it explored themes of caring, overcoming evil, love; all very prominent elements emphasized greatly during the events transpiring during this epic climactic portion.
