Boruto: Two Blue Vortex - When Will Someone Finally Stay Dead?
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has made some changes compared to part 1 of the series, but it's still hanging onto its biggest flaw. Just like in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Naruto, this series doesn't seem to commit to killing off its characters. Everyone has plot armor! Maybe it's because Masashi Kishimoto is the writer now! It's a bummer, because death is a big deal in the Naruto universe. It's a bummer that these characters always seem to get a second chance.
There are some pretty gnarly enemies in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, and they're not messing around. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is set four years in the future, so the characters have had time to grow up. Boruto's been training under Sasuke. The new generation of Konoha shinobi are all older and stronger, with new abilities to protect Konoha. But even with these deadly enemies, it doesn't seem like death sticks! Why does everyone have to come back?
Everyone is Too Safe in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
There have been some shocking deaths in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, but even they seem to get undone. Fans are left wondering: who is safe and who is really gone? What happened to Kurama? What's going to happen to Naruto? Is anyone really safe?
Boruto has introduced a lot of new characters since it began, and a few of them have actually died. But, those characters were usually villains, or they were too old to be saved. Everyone else just seems to have Plot Armor. There are a lot of characters who are still around who should be dead, but they're not. And it's making the series feel a little bit less exciting.
Inojin Yamanaka's "Death" - Not So Shocking After All
Inojin Yamanaka's apparent death in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex was a big shock for fans. He is a beloved character. It came only eleven chapters after the series debut. It's a huge twist to lose a character so early. The story is still young, but this loss could really hurt Konoha's Team 10, and the Ino-Shika-Cho formation. The Yamanaka clan isn't known for their long life spans (Inoichi Yamanaka was killed in Naruto). Fans were really scared for Inojin.
But, Inojin's death was a fake-out! Himawari's Kurama-powered healing intervention saved Inojin! What is this, Game of Thrones? This was a huge missed opportunity. Inojin's death would have really made things tense. It would have been scary to see what would happen to Inojin, and the rest of the characters. But, it seems like no one can die in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, as long as there is an Uzumaki around.
Kurama is Back, and Himawari is the New Jinchuriki
Kurama's return in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex was a surprise! And it's not just Kurama that is back. It seems like Biju don't stay dead forever. But it's a pretty wild twist. It makes it possible for the other Tailed Beasts to come back. Is this the end of the whole "Tailed Beast" conflict?
Fans are wondering what this means for Naruto's fate. Maybe Naruto will come back to Konoha. If he does, he'll get to see Kurama again through Himawari, which will be an emotional moment. It's interesting that Kurama is back, and Himawari's Hyuga blood made her a better Jinchuriki than Naruto was! It's a big change for Himawari. Maybe she will be the new hero of Boruto. It's going to be a wild ride!
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex - Less Scary Than It Could Be
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has some cool new enemies, and the stakes seem to be high. Fans are really excited to see what happens next. But, the series has a problem with letting characters die. It makes the story feel a little bit less scary. It's also a little bit confusing: who is really dead, and who is just hiding out? Fans are hopeful that the series will get more serious in the future. But, for now, it seems like everyone is safe!
Hopefully, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will finally embrace death in the future. It would make the series more unpredictable and exciting. Fans are ready to see some big stakes and real consequences for the characters. But, until that happens, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will remain a less scary show than it could be.
