The world of Boruto is full of crazy jutsu and powers but Omnipotence is in a league of its own. This overpowered ability, a type of Shinjutsu, has been shaking things up big time in the Two Blue Vortex arc.
Omnipotence Explained
First introduced in chapter #80, Omnipotence is a godlike power used by Shibai Otsutsuki and channeled through Eida. It basically makes any desire a reality! Pretty wild, huh? Eida, fueled by her intense desire to protect Kawaki, initially used this power to swap Boruto and Kawaki's places in everyone's minds (with some exceptions).
The crazy thing about Omnipotence isn't just its power to warp reality. It also works on a mental level! It plants a ridiculously strong illusion that ignores any facts contradicting that illusion. It essentially overwrites logic and reason with pure, undeniable belief, which explains why Sasuke initially fell for it.
Breaking Omnipotence
Several characters have found themselves up against this Jutsu, with wildly varied results.
- Shikamaru initially resisted Omnipotence, seeing through it briefly. But the chapter shows the jutsu’s enduring hold on him!
- Amado also managed to break free! Smart guy!
- Sarada and Sumire show an immunity to Omnipotence – a HUGE mystery we’re still unraveling!
- Otsutsukis (like Boruto, Momoshiki, and Kawaki) aren’t affected either!
- Mitsuki and Himawari, while under its spell, still show moments of resistance! Interesting to see what that will do later on in the manga.
One of the most surprising instances of a character managing to break free of this jutsu? Kashin Koji, the clone ninja!
Kashin Koji's Prescience
Kashin Koji possesses another Shinjutsu ability called Prescience. Think of it as seeing multiple timelines simultaneously. Basically, this gave him the superpower of the future! He used his ability to check out different outcomes but confirmed the truth through his eyes once he met up with Boruto. Despite that, even with his own superpower to help him not fall victim, Omnipotence continued its assault. Proof that this is truly powerful!
Omnipotence's Mysteries
Lots of questions around Omnipotence are unanswered: Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan, the potential revival of Kurama, Boruto’s Jougan… we need answers!
As it stands, we only know it doesn’t work on Otsutsuki. That, along with Sarada and Sumire’s resistance, makes Omnipotence one of the series’ biggest remaining mysteries!

But through this all, Boruto keeps fighting, pushing back! Two Blue Vortex isn't just intense for Boruto, the show is now building to the big showdown! The readers can only wonder just how incredible this storyline will become. His ongoing struggle makes this character all the more endearing, while showcasing how crazy strong this Shinjutsu ability actually is. This sets the stage for even bigger, wilder, action moments for these crazy Naruto universe adventures!
