Sometimes a show's hero can feel like the least appealing part of their story. Especially when they're known to go through so many struggles. That's how I've always felt about Subaru Natsuki! The main character in the hit series Re: Zero -Life in Another World- is one of the more frustrating isekai protagonists but watching Season 3 was a big moment!

Re: Zero follows Subaru Natsuki who finds himself whisked into a new and exciting world! This isekai adventure has made him a victim of many critiques over time, however. Season 3 brought Subaru back into my life in a big way.

I know what makes the show unique - Subaru is one of those characters that seems pretty basic and in many respects he is. But what makes the series so incredible, is Subaru is given a bizarre ability after his arrival.

He has the power to reset time! After his death.
It is really an amazing ability! However, it does have devastating effects as the whole arc will show.

This really takes a darker tone to how the ability actually affects Subaru, making him constantly endure tragic circumstances. That includes death. The more time goes on, the less you know about what makes this series truly amazing.

You may not think so at first, but for some that may make Subaru such an endearing character. Even his struggles help audiences experience his sense of despair and his dedication as he navigates these tough scenarios, doing the impossible, and taking those leaps to ensure the safety and success of those he's close to. What could be more important! Re:Zero really gives audiences an idea about just how amazing the genre of isekai can truly be!

In the episode "Theatrical Malice." it looks like everything is back to how things should be and how the audience was left wanting to feel safe after the second season of Re:Zero. This was truly a major element to get viewers thinking that maybe there were no more problems, until, Subaru. had to experience this strange ability again!

It appears to really get under the skin of audiences and make those moments feel so memorable.

There was an absolutely brilliant act of magic! What happened was an evil cult figure from the world of Re:Zero. It's even more amazing that he really knew what he was doing, taking advantage of those who wanted a nice, peaceful moment, by bringing an amazing magical trick with a dramatic flourish that ended up bringing an end to those present at this amazing moment.

This moment leaves audiences in disbelief as Re:Zero really dives deeply into those heartbreaking moments, letting viewers truly feel those effects in this unique storyline. What was the driving force? That Re:Zero's writers knew just how much we had all forgotten what made Re:Zero, so incredibly entertaining!

Re:Zero Is More Than Just An Anime

The show seems to do so much! It’s like Re:Zero knew all along, they created this fantastic story that can draw the heart strings and the excitement from viewers.

And fans like the amazing story but that sense of struggle and pain are essential elements. It even keeps this special story memorable and lets viewers see that this show really delivers.

In essence, we're reminded of that sense of reality with a protagonist like Subaru who gets so engrossed in this other world. As an "isekai," fan who has probably seen the "good", "bad" and even the "ugly" of the genre, I have to say that Subaru really is unique in a sea of many.

While Re:Zero, might not be something you’ll find super exciting at the start. If you want a show that truly makes a long-lasting impression. There’s no question as to how this show brings forth the true essence of fantasy, while giving viewers a new and extraordinary take on how even the most unlikely characters can come to life!
