Pokémon Scalet & Violet: Stellar Crown is coming out on September 13, 2024. You can play with the cards a day early on Pokémon Tcg Live, but if you want to get your hands on the physical cards you'll have to wait until the official release or participate in a prerelease event! The first prerelease events for Stellar Crown will be on August 31, so get in touch with your local game stores to see if they're participating. If they are, you can get your hands on the cards up to two weeks before the official release!
Since Stellar Crown is being released in September, the cards will have a regulation mark G. This means these cards will be legal in the Standard format until rotating out in 2026. Players will also be able to use these cards in the Extended format for a longer period of time, so these cards will be viable for a long time. Players will want to pay close attention to the cards released in this and other upcoming sets, so they can be prepared to include or respond to them in September.
The full card list for Stellar Crown has not been released yet, but there have been some cards previewed that players can expect. Stellar Crown will introduce four new Stellar Tera Pokémon ex cards for Terapagos, Cinderace, Galvantula, and Lapras. An ex card for Hydrapple has also been spoiled online, and the set will include more regular ex cards that haven’t been seen yet.
Stellar Crown will also feature the first-ever Archulodon card in the TCG. There will also be promotional cards included in certain booster packs that are available at big box stores. Single blister packs will contain Horsea or Porygon2 cards, and three-pack blisters will include either Latias or Tinkaton. Elite Trainer Boxes for this set will also include a full-art promotional version of Noctowl.
As of right now, six different products have been previewed for Stellar Crown. The first is the standard booster packs which can be bought individually or in a booster display containing 36 packs. Each booster pack of Stellar Crown contains 10 cards and one basic Energy card. Players who want to buy sealed booster packs in bulk, but don’t want a full box of 36 can also buy Booster Bundles, which come with six packs of Stellar Crown.
Another way to buy Stellar Crown booster packs is in the Elite Trainer Boxes. These come in a standard version, and a Pokémon Center Version, the latter of which is exclusively available through the Pokémon Center online store. Standard versions of the Elite Trainer Box come with nine Stellar Crown booster packs, a player’s guide, 65 card sleeves, 45 Energy cards, a six-sided die, six damage counter dice, a themed coin, and a promotional full-art version of Noctowl. The Pokémon Center version comes with all this plus two additional packs, and an additional Noctowl with a special Pokémon Center logo.
