Saitama and Blast Can Both Interact With Portals in One-Punch Man
One-punch Man has a lot of powerful heroes, but Saitama is the strongest one. He is so powerful that he can defeat any enemy with just one punch. And that's the problem - he's bored. Saitama gets so little challenge out of being so powerful, that he can't even seem to find any motivation. He's often absent from the biggest crises, but his powers are getting more attention in the series. Even the top S-Class hero, Blast, has noticed his potential. One key ability that Saitama has is also shared by Blast: both of them can travel through or manipulate portals between dimensions.
Saitama has a habit of knowing that Blast is on the case, so Saitama takes a break, knowing that Blast can handle whatever's going on, even a God-level threat. In the Ninjas Arc, Saitama was absent, going for udon noodles while Blast was handling the threat. It's pretty reassuring to know that Saitama can handle any dimension-hopping villain, as the latest chapters have hinted at how he can do just that.
Both Heroes Are Natural Counters to One-Punch Man's Latest Villain
Empty Void is a pretty terrifying enemy for most heroes. He can travel between dimensions, and he can use God's powers to attack with the Dimension Slash. But Blast can create these same Portals, and Saitama can interact with them freely. Blast has shown this power recently, and fans might remember previous instances in the Monster Association Arc, including Saitama's fight with Garou. Saitama was able to punch through reality, follow Garou through portals, and even grab the portals and kick them away, as seen in One-punch Man chapter #165.
What this means for Void is still up in the air, though. While Garou can't manipulate Portals, Void is a different story, and his understanding of them is greater. Blast can mitigate the threat, but it's not clear how far God's powers go in boosting Void. We still don't know if Void's God's cubes can be used to entrance other characters, as they can do so with other monsters.
Saitama's Absence May Not Be as Felt in One-Punch Man
Even though Void is a terrifying threat, Blast has joined the fight in Saitama's absence. Blast has experience as a former ally of Void, and with the help of Flash and Sonic, they are a formidable fighting force. Their clash with Void might not be the definitive battle, but it's sure to be exciting for the readers.
If Saitama winds up needing to fight Void or God, it's good to know that the series now has a precedent for how Saitama can interact with their portal-based powers. Saitama is, of course, overpowered, but he's also capable of much more than simply overwhelming strength and speed. It'll be fun to see how things play out in the Ninjas Arc now that Blast is in the fight!
Saitama Is Equipped For the Fight Against Void
It's not always about the punch for Saitama, which is pretty surprising for the One-Punch Man fans. While Saitama is usually shown just blasting through any enemy with raw power, that's not the only thing he's got going for him. He's also got speed and a deep understanding of the universe and his place within it. Saitama can even control portals and use them for his own gain. He also has the strength and speed to take on Void, and he won't let him get away.
With the long hiatus, it will be exciting to see how the battle against Void will turn out. Blast is showing off some serious power of his own, but with Saitama's portal knowledge and insane power, this battle is going to be something else.
